Our prompt this week is “Slam”.
I’ve attempted to write a piece that could be delivered as spoken word, maybe even at a poetry slam, and now I’m encouraging you to do the same.
I look forward to reading your own piece that could be shouted from the rooftops (or into a coffee shop microphone).

I once read a poem at an open mic at a Christian conference. It kind of came out sounding like slam poetry. That poem actually was very well received. People came up to me for the rest of that week to ask, “Are you the one who wrote that poem?” 😆
Anyway, my point is: I’ll see if I can find that poem again, to post it for this!

Here you go, Brian. 🙂
By the way, this makes me want to go back and read my old poems. All 10 notebooks of them,,,.

I like this one a lot. You should definitely share some more from the archive. Cataloging your own work sounds like a great project for the coming winter 🙂
