Anaphora – Your Weekly Poetry Prompt 1/7/2022

This blog has crossed into 2022 with just over 50 followers. I am so grateful for everyone that spends time reading my posts. It is humbling to think of others being interested in what I write, so thank you.

Our prompt this week is Anaphora.

I have been doing an online poetry workshop that covered anaphora, so this prompt is more about form than subject. According to Poets.org, “The term anaphora refers to a poetic technique in which successive phrases or lines begin with the same words, often resembling a litany. The repetition can be as simple as a single word or as long as an entire phrase.”
Please share your anaphora poem in the comments.
