Our prompt this week is Random Entry. This is both a prompt and an exercise to explore how a poem can take on a life of its own (if we let it).
Start with a simple object or scene as the opening to your poem, keep writing and see where it leads you. The key is not to edit or over-think as you go but just let the words move from your mind to the page.
For example, the glint of a broken bottle may remind you of the stars, then traveling in a spaceship, that encounters alien life, and then… (you get the idea).
As always, please share your poem in the comments and I will be happy to read it and share my thoughts.
