Shouting is heard,
plates are thrown;
A cry for love.
Only statements of fact
and a sarcastic groan;
A cry for love.
Refusing to yield
from where one stands;
A cry for love.
An imposing threat
a closed fist lands;
A cry for love.
Sealed away
destroying oneself;
A cry for love.
On display
as if on a shelf;
A cry for love.
Listening to speak
but refusing to hear;
A cry for love.
An open heart,
a listening ear;
An I love you.

Thank you. It can be hard to see someone else’s pain as a cry for love, especially if it is hurting you too.
