Turn your worries out to the firmament
for the past is nothing to lament.
If troubles and longings do persists,
realize it’s within that they exist.
Turn your worries out to the firmament,
do not mix them into cement.
The weight will slow you and cause you harm.
You will see no value and hold no charm.
Turn your worries out to the firmament
for a joyful life is at your own consent.

This poem was posted for the previous week’s poetry prompt, Worry
Nicely written, and I love the advice / metaphor, “do not mix them into cement.”

Thank you. I read another poem about having all the ingredients to make your own life, so it was partly inspired by that.
