The Mind’s Eye – My Weekly Poem 10/25/2021

The wind kissed bright petals
on its way to my face,
in this high mountain meadow,
what a magical place.

Aloft went the birds
in a resounding procession.
Then my heart fluttered
with an instant connection.

I stepped further in
and felt the warmth of the sun.
I took off my shoes
so my spirit could run.

Across the many flowers
to the shade of the trees.
To lie in the limbs
and sway with the breeze.

It’s places like this
my mind can always go.
For my spirit to run
and fly to and fro.
