Togetherness – My Weekly Poem 8/23/2021

Blessed are happy couples
strolling hand in hand,
having found togetherness,
never lonely where they stand.

Cursed are separations
we force into our minds;
yearning for validation
of a self that is blind.

Not seeing the true value
in being part of a whole.
Fighting for the freedom
that togetherness has stole.

The oneness of all things
is the Truth we can reveal,
allowing a full life
not just a self that isn’t real.
