Here is my poem for last week’s poetry prompt, Comfort:
A Comforting Song
There’s a high to low song
I hear when up at dawn.
A bird singing up the sun
that comforts me all day long.
When I take a walk at noon,
I’m caressed by a gentle breeze
that reminds me to breathe deep
as it flutters through the trees.
When I stop my day of work
and switch to me alone,
I think of high to low
and breathe to bring me home.

That definitely does sound comforting and peaceful.

I try to listen for birdsong whenever I’m outside. Even the crows bring me comfort 🙂
