Weather – My Weekly Poem 3/22/2021

Here is my poem for last week’s prompt, Weather:

Weather Reports

I can know so very much
before I step outside.
I can sit, and plan, and dream,
with forecasts at my side.

Weather can sadden me
ahead of any wind.
I count cold days as losses,
choosing to stay in.

A clear five days of sunshine
brings urgency to play,
but there’s joy in wearing layers
and greeting each new day.

Yes, I can know so very much
before I step outside.
I can sit, and plan, and dream,
but that is no excuse to hide.
